Role 1: Savings hydraulic energy

1 For intermittent load, the transmission power of the hydraulic pump can be reduced.

a. When the hydraulic cylinder needs more oil, the accumulator and the hydraulic pump supply oil at the same time;

b. When the hydraulic cylinder is not working, the hydraulic pump fills the accumulator and the hydraulic pump stops after reaching a certain pressure.

2 Provide a large amount of pressure oil in an instant.

3 Emergency operation: as a power source for emergency when the hydraulic device fails and power is cut off.

4 Maintain system pressure: supplement the oil leakage of the hydraulic system, or the equipment used to maintain constant pressure for the hydraulic pump to stop running for a long period of time.

5 Drive secondary circuit: When the main circuit is stopped due to adjustment and maintenance, the hydraulic energy of the accumulator can be used to drive the secondary circuit.

6 Stabilizing pressure: In the locked circuit, the liquid expands due to the increase of the oil temperature, and the high pressure can be absorbed by the accumulator. When the volume is changed and the amount of oil is reduced, the liquid can also be compensated.

Role 2: mitigate shock and eliminate pulsation


1 Absorb the pressure pulsation of the hydraulic pump.

2 mitigation shock: such as the water hammer caused by the mitigation valve in the rapid closing and changing direction.

a. Accumulators that mitigate shocks should use accumulators with small inertia, such as bladder-type accumulators and spring-type accumulators.

b. Accumulators that mitigate the impact are generally installed as close as possible to the impact and installed vertically, with the oil port down. If it is limited by location, if vertical installation is not possible, install it horizontally.

c. Install the accumulator on the pipeline. The accumulator must be fastened with a support plate or bracket to avoid accidents.

d. The accumulator should be installed away from heat sources.
